OCSD, state police thwart meth distribution operation

Narcotics Enforcement Unit agents from the Otero County Sheriff's Department and New Mexico State Police conducted a joint undercover drug operation that netted about 2 ounces of methamphetamine during a 1 1/2-month investigation, Sheriff Benny House said Friday.

The Otero County Narcotics Enforcement Unit arrested two Alamogordo brothers on various charges of drug trafficking and money laundering after OCNEU agents found four pounds of methamphetamine in one of the brother's vehicles, Sheriff Benny House said.
